I'm not a terrorist
I'm not a bleeding heart liberal
I'm not a mean old nasty conservative
I'm a person first
a husband second
and an American third.
It's amazing to listen to the news
listen to the talk shows
read people's blogs who have not only forgotten to think for themselves
but decided to give up their right to be human and the right to remember that as all humans... politicians fuck up sometimes...
and sometimes on purpose
but not only that... people believe that the United States never makes mistakes, that we'd never do anything that could possibly justify somebody in another country with a different viewpoint to hate us.

They hate us for no good reason except they are misguided....
ummm... Bullshit
America and it's companies have done some despicable things in many countries. Oil companies are some of the worse. Textiles are not far behind. All one needs to do is a little research on what the practices of some of these companies have done to countries that they've "invaded" with their American principles...
We help places like China who are inhumane to their people... who kill their kids who believe they should have a voice in their country... All our Wal-Marts will never say "made by slave labor so we could bring it to you cheaper" because it would remind us that the world is not some peachy and happy place...
Not everyone has a 40 hour work week and drives their shiny cars to their house...
...where they can watch the news and wonder why the news stations give a voice to people that don't agree with their views...
America does bad things...
and until we wake up and realize that pointing the bad things out is not aiding and abetting terror cells all over the world...
the sooner we can start fixing mistakes and try to make amends for things we've done...
and maybe people could hate us for a different reason than being the pushy bully...
because that's what we've become when we don't have a natural disaster, starving children, or AID's victims to throw money at to make us feel better about our place in the world...
We're not so golden... and when we're supposed to have the freedom of speech
we're perfectly silent when it suits our needs.......
